What is SoftWashing?
Soft Wash is a safe and efficient way to clean exterior surfaces. We can use softwashing techniques for roof cleaning, cladding cleaning, K-rend, render, block paved driveways, decking, tarmac, wet pour play grounds, fences and patios. In fact almost all exterior surfaces can be cleaned using softwash.
We improve the exterior appeal of properties in London and surrounding counties by using the delicate, yet powerful approach of soft wash. Persistent exposure to weather and the mixture of atmospheric moulds, lichen, algae, and fungi, often leaves buildings looking dull and dirty. When untreated it can even compromise the structural integrity by deteriorating wall renders and weakening roof tiles.

Why choose SoftWash instead of power washing?
It’s true that high-Pressure Power washing gives instantly visible results but it also has serious and often quite costly flaws. Jet washing creates an environment for algae and moss regrowth. This is because pressure washing simply relies on high-pressure to dislodge biofilms so it is not capable of killing biofilms or completely eradicating the streaks. When spores get displaced into the air during the process of pressure washing they resettle and restart their growth, even spreading to surrounding surfaces.
Furthermore, power washing can blast render and flake-off paint which overall causes damage to the exteriors.
Softwashing is a far superior soloution vecuase disinfecting your building on the outside rather than blasting it with high powered water jets will give you the very best results.
Can I SoftWash myself?
In a word no.
Softwashing without the necessary equipment and correct training can cause serious and damage to the surface being cleaned. To be cleaned safely and effectively the surface needs to be treated with an appropriate biocide which kills off organic spores to prevent them re-growing on the surfaces. Steam under low pressure and up to 150 degrees C is applied to gently remove any growth which may remain after the initial treatment as well as removing any atmospheric pollutants and other types of grime.
SoftWashing is not something that should be attempted by anyone with out specialist equipment and specific training.
When properly cleaned, professional softwash services will ensure your building looks its very best for up to five years.
Is SoftWashing safe?
Our SoftWash Solutions utilise simple chemistry to target dirt and biofilms, giving a clearly visible result while leaving surfaces and surroundings undisturbed. The sophisticated germicidal and low-pressure Softwashing process kills and dislodges algae, moulds, moss, and fungi, leaving a super clean and heavily sanitised surface, free from spores.
